This dataset is constructed based on the daily current price index of Zhejiang sugarcane available at the Jiaxing City Fruit Market. The index is calculated as the ratio of the daily average current price of Zhejiang sugarcane to its base price (i.e., daily current price / base price), which serves to assess the current price level of the product and guide merchants' sales-related decisions including purchase quantity, sourcing origin, and pricing strategies.

The base price is defined as the previous year's average unit price per 500 grams of Zhejiang sugarcane, derived via arithmetic mean calculation using the formula: total sales revenue / total sales volume of Zhejiang sugarcane in the preceding year. The daily price index for the fruit is then computed by dividing the day's average current price of the product by the aforementioned previous year's average unit price.

The price index is categorized into three levels based on its value:
1. 'Price Affordable' when the index is below 0.8;
2. 'Price Moderate' when the index falls within the range of 0.8 to 1.2;
3. 'Price High' when the index exceeds 1.2.

If no valid data is available for the current day, the index will be marked as 'No Evaluation Value'.
