This repository accompanies the article "Roads and rivers. The importance of regional transportation networks for early urbanization in central Italy (1000–500 BC)" (Prignano et al., in review, Journal of Archaeological Science). It contains:- Ten GML graphs (roads and rivers by archaeological age, 1000–500 BC).- One CSV file with coastal nodes for robustness tests.- Python scripts for analysis and figure generation (core + appendix).- Seven interactive HTML maps for supplementary visualization.- README.md and requirements.txt for setup and usage. All scripts use relative paths and reproduce the analyses as described in the manuscript. See the included README.md for software requirements and usage examples.
