Our research has demonstrated importance of cellular signalling, metabolism and epigenetic alterations in cisplatin resistance for cervical and liver cancer cells. We performed gene expression profiling analysis using data obtained from RNA-seq and identified differential gene expression between parental vs resistant cell line. Data immerged from in vivo experiments suggest that 2DG treatment helps in restricting tumor growth of resistant cells and thus it will be a step forward in translating the concept of overcoming cisplatin resistance.
