资源简介:
NASA’s Near-Earth Object (NEO) Surveyor mission is designed to find, track, and characterize Potentially Hazardous Asteroids (PHAs) and comets, with a requirement to find the majority of asteroids large enough to cause severe regional damage. Expected to launch in September 2027, the infrared space telescope will execute its survey of NEOs from a Sun-Earth L1 halo orbit, which provides excellent viewing geometry for PHAs, short-range communications using near-Earth bands, and a stable, cold thermal environment that supports passive cooling. This paper describes the overall mission objectives, spacecraft and instrument design, and the trajectory design and navigation strategy.
