The Domestic Homicide Review Dataset (DHRD) for England and Wales

This dataset contains structured data derived from publicly available Home Office metadata associated with Domestic Homicide Review (DHR) reports in England and Wales. It includes linked document-level, incident-level, victim-level, and perpetrator-level records. The dataset is intended to support research on domestic homicide, victimisation, perpetration, vulnerability, mental health, and related criminological and social policy topics. The initial release includes information on 647 DHR documents made available by the UK Home Office between December 2022 and March 2026. The dataset is derived from Home Office metadata, including tagging and filtering categories exposed through the Home Office website. It is not based on manual coding of the full report texts. Users should therefore interpret missing values and untagged characteristics cautiously. The release includes four CSV files: 01_documents.csv, 02_incidents.csv, 03_perpetrators.csv, and 04_victims.csv, alongside a README, codebook, changelog, licence, citation metadata file, and a ZIP archive containing the full release.
