资源简介:
Neutron stars are composed of the densest form of matter known to exist in our universe, and thus provide a\r\nunique laboratory for exploring supra-nuclear densities. We propose timing observations of a super-massive\r\npulsar, PSR J1748?2021B, that resides in a binary system in the NGC6440 globular cluster. This pulsar\r\nis potentially the most massive pulsar known, and hence can constrain/rule out several Neutron Star (NS)\r\nequation of states proposed so far. The mass measurement is currently limited by our detection significance\r\nof the Shapiro delay. Hence, we are aiming at a dense orbital campaign for this system with Parkes and\r\nMeerKAT telescopes to obtain precise estimates of the component masses of this binary system in the next\r\n6-12 months.
