Genome resequencing of European great tit

Understanding which factors determine the efficacy of natural selection acting on genomes remains a topic of much study in evolutionary biology. Theory predicts that the effective population size and recombination rate are key parameters that modulate the efficacy of selection. Here we use whole genome resequencing data from the European great tit to study how the efficacy of selection varies across the genome.
