欧洲建筑设备委员会（CECE）每年春季发布其年度经济报告，对欧洲工程机械行业的状况进行深入分析，2023年度报告于3月最新发布。ExecutiveSummaryCONSTRUCTIONINDUSTRYDuringthepastsixmonthstherehavebeensignificantchangesinEuropethathaveimpactedontheeconomicenvironmentforconstruction.ThisincludesthewarinUkraineandtheanxietyithascausedacrosstheregion.Asaresult,theoutlookforgrowthinnewresidentialconstructionhasdeteriorated.Theoutlookisnotmuchbrighterwhenconsideringthesituationinothersectorswithintheconstructionindustry.MININGINDUSTRYExplorationanddrillingactivityintheglobalminingmarketcontinuedtoshowgrowthin2022.Explorationbudgetsforthemajorglobalminingcompaniesexceeded2021and2020levels,andinfactwerethehighestsince2013.Over80%ofspendingwasonexplorationofgoldandbasemetals.Drillingactivitywasalsostrongin2022,matchingthe2021levels.EXTRAFEATURE:RENTALINDUSTRYTheERA/IRNRentalTrackerforthefourthquarterof2022confirmsthefalteringconfidenceinEuropethatwasfirsthintedatintheJune2022survey,butthereisnocollapseinsentiment.ThereremainsapositivebalanceofopiniononcurrentbusinessconditionsinEurope,butonlyjust.EQUIPMENTMARKETInaverychallengingeconomicandgeopoliticalenvironment,theEuropeanconstructionequipmentmarketdefiedtheoddsin2022.SalesintheEuropeanmarketalmostreachedthesamelevelasthepreviousyear,andonlysawaminimal0.6%decline.OUTLOOKAtthebeginningof2023,manufacturersarereportingapositivebusinesssituationandnear-termfutureexpectations.Thankstothestrongorderbacklog,thefirsthalfoftheyearcanbeconsidered“safe”.Fortotal2023,asoftlandingwithsingle-digitsalesdeclinesontheEuropeanmarketseemsrealistic.
