Supplementary_info_Siang Valley Bird List 2026

This study details our ornithological efforts and records from five districts of Siang Valley, Arunachal Pradesh: East Siang, West Siang, Siang, Upper Siang, and Shi Yomi from May 2022 to March 2026. Based on our 535 eBird checklists and incidental avian records from camera traps deployed for mammal monitoring, we documented 481 species, including 31 globally threatened species such as Black-breasted Parrotbill Paradoxornis flavirostris, Beautiful Nuthatch Sitta formosa, and Blyth’s Tragopan Tragopan blythii. Of these, 24 species constitute new records from Siang Valley, including two new records for the entire state of Arunachal Pradesh.
