Anonymized CES delay data

Delayed presentation of cauda equina syndrome (CES) is more common in developing countries. There are only a few studies investigating in detail the results of late decompression in such patients. Our study analyses the outcome of surgically treated patients with delayed presentation of CES and compares the differences in improvement between those who were operated within 15 days and those after 15 days. The study also focuses on enumerating the reasons for delay in seeking timely medical care, especially among patients coming from a low socio-economic status.
