These replication data accompany the submission to World Development. This includes an R script, “Main Code PanelMatch and AugSynth,” with the code necessary to replicate all the main results including most of those presented in the appendix. The Stata do file, “Supplementary Code Linear regressions,” contains the code necessary to replicate the specifications not included in the main code which are part of the robustness checks in the Appendix. The datasets are provided as CSV files.
