Therefore a time value of 3 (min) corresponds to the initiation of the first locomotor stage of the Bruce Test, a time value of 6 (min) corresponds to the initiation of the Bruce Test second locomotor stage, and so on. Durations, in minutes, are referred to intervals between specific events. Second order coefficient value is related to the second order polynomial fitting the regularity profile of a specific Bruce test performance. Its dimension is T-2 Regularity values may range between 0 (for no regularity at all, characteristic of a random profile) to 1 (for perfect periodicity, i.e. an acceleration profile which repeats itself at each stride).
