Integrated Seismic Catalogue for Chile from 1513 to 2022
收藏资源简介:
There are many earthquake catalogues containing seismic information for Chile; given each covers different periods and presents different magnitude scales, it is necessary to compile them, eliminate duplicate earthquakes, and determine country-specific scaling relationships instead of using global equations. This will allow the creation of a regional catalogue for the country, with a homogeneous magnitude (moment magnitude, Mw), useful for various topics related to seismic activity. We compiled an Integrated Seismic Catalogue for Chile between 1513 and 2022. We included events reported in the catalogues of the International Seismological Centre-Global Earthquake Model (ISC-GEM), International Seismological Center (ISC), United States Geological Survey (NEIC-ANSS), Global Catalogue of Centroid Moment Tensors (GCMT), Regional Seismology Center for South America (CERESIS-GEM), and the National Seismological Centre improved (CSN-improved). Regression equations were developed for the different magnitude scales present in the catalogues. The magnitude scales tested against Mw are the surface wave magnitude, MS, the body wave magnitude, mb, and the local magnitude, ML. Also considering the catalogue of origin of each of them. The integrated catalogue contains almost 230,000 events, with moment magnitude between 0.2 and 9.6, and depths range from 0 to 750 km.
