VPRS 12203 Journal - Wheatgrowers Relief Fund, Apple and Pear Bounty Fund

The Fruit Growers Relief Act 1934 and the Wheat Growers Relief Act 1936 established the Apple and Pear Bounty Fund and the Wheat Growers Relief Fund respectively. These funds were established to provide aid to and encourage fruit and wheat growers to raise crops within Victoria. Registered growers were able to apply to Treasury to be granted aid from the Funds.This series consists of a journal of payments made to fruit and wheat growers from the above mentioned funds. It contains details of the growers name, amount granted to them, and total amounts debited from either fund.
