The Environmental Justice Screening and Mapping Tool (EJScreen) is a U.S. EPA environmental justice mapping and screening tool. It provides a nationally consistent dataset and approach for combining environmental and demographic socioeconomic indicators to highlight places that may have higher environmental burdens and vulnerable populations. Users choose a geographic area and the tool then provides demographic socioeconomic and environmental information for that area. All of the indicators are publicly-available. EJScreen simply provides a way to display the information and a method for combining environmental and demographic indicators into EJ indexes.
