Global solar thermal energy cumulative capacity 2006-2018

The global cumulative capacity of solar thermal energy has increased dramatically since 2006 until 2018, from around 127 gigawatts thermal to approximately 480 gigawatts thermal. Capacity additions for solar thermal energy reached their peak between 2012 and 2013, and since then, new installations have decreased. China and Europe have played a major role in the installation of solar thermal energy globally.

自2006年起，全球太阳能热能的累积装机容量显著增长，直至2018年，装机容量从约127吉瓦热能增至约480吉瓦热能。太阳能热能的装机容量增长在2012年至2013年间达到顶峰，此后新装机量逐渐减少。中国与欧洲在全球太阳能热能的安装中扮演了举足轻重的角色。
