We addressed the roles of primarily two remodeling complexes, ISW1a and ISW1b, in affecting the chromatin organization in the yeast Saccharomyces cerevisiae. Overall design: Comparison of budding yeast nucleosome positions obtained using micrococcal nuclease digestion followed by paired-end sequencing (MNase-seq). We sequenced nucleosomes from isogenic strains with the isw1?, ioc2?, ioc3?, ioc4?, chd1?, set1?, set2? mutations in different combinations. We also examine a histone H4 N-terminal deletion mutation.
