Photos of an auroral-curl event taken by a citizen scientist, Jeff Dai. This event occurred on January 16, 2024, near the Kerid Crater in Iceland. These photos were taken before local midnight with his SONY ILCE-7RM5 camera. Two lenses with different focal lengths operated simultaneously: one is 8.00 mm, and the other is 14.00 mm. These photos were taken continuously with an exposure time of 2.5 s each.
