Seagull and Rat

Content: Story about Seagull and Rat who become friends. But one day Seagull lets her friend down and forgets to warn her about the coming rain. Rat, who has been sleeping in a tree trunk that is lying in a dry creek, gets floated out into the ocean. Turtle comes to her rescue and carries her back ashore. But then Turtle gets caught by humans who tie her up and leave her there for later. Now, Seagull persuades Rat to help her free their friend: while Seagull puts on customary dress and performs a dance that distracts the villagers, Rat gnaws through the vines that tie up Turtle, and Turtle can get back into the sea. Seagull flies off not without letting the humans know that they have forgone their catch.
