Ecology Lab 2

This lab was conducted in the grasslands at York University. The quadrant was placed around the grasslands at different random locations. Withing each quadrant, the different number of plant species was eyeballed and listed. Along with their abudnace, richness and percent cover. Abundance was calculated by counting the number of individuals of one species in the quadrant. Richness was the total number of different species in the quadrant. Percent cover of each species in a quadrant was estimated by eyeballing or by calculating it of smaller region withing the quadrant.
