We collected samples of microalgal-bacterial granular sludge from different wastewater and reactor conditions on days 0, 10, and 20 for metagenomic and metatranscriptomic sequencing. We analyzed the metabolic pathways and interactions between algae and bacteria for the removal of complex organics by the microalgal-bacterial granular sludge.
