This study explores the impact of siesta deprivation (SD), both alone and in combination with caffeine administration (SD+Cf), on the gut microbiota of mice. Male ICR mice were randomly assigned to three groups: a control group with no interventions, an SD group, and an SD+Cf group. After a two-week intervention period, fecal samples were collected at Zeitgeber time 0 (ZT0, sample1-5) and Zeitgeber time 12 (ZT12, sample 6-10) for gut microbiota analysis using 16S rRNA gene sequencing. This research aims to elucidate how siesta disruption and caffeine intake affect the composition and diversity of intestinal microbial communities.
