资源简介:
In 2001, the Alaska Division of Geological & Geophysical Surveys (DGGS) published a database compiling geotechnical borehole and well-log records in Anchorage, Alaska (Combellick and others, 2001). This data release builds on that database, adding some additional cone penetration test (CPT) and well log records in broader areas across the state (Alaska Department of Natural Resources, 2013; Coulter and Migliaccio, 1966; Shannon & Wilson, Inc., 1964a; Shannon & Wilson, Inc., 1964b; Shannon & Wilson, Inc., 1995; Updike and Ulery, 1986), and organizing data in a SQLite relational database. Records cover a time range from 1948 to 2020 and include data about the drilling company, type of borehole, location, elevation, hole depth, CPT and standard penetration test (SPT) data, lithology, material properties, soil classification, and water level. Not all records contain all of these data types. Records covering the Anchorage area are more systematic and comprehensive than records in the rest of the state. Locations of available records are shown in Figure 1.
Figure 1. A) Overview map of Alaska showing all borehole locations in the database. B) Boreholes located in the Anchorage area. Orange dots represent geotechnical boreholes, blue dots represent water wells, and grey dots represent all other holes (pits, trenches, natural exposures, or unknown hole types).
