Against the background of global change, extreme weather and climate events have occurred frequently. To standardize the definitions of extreme climate events across different countries and regions, the World Meteorological Organization (WMO) established the Expert Team on Climate Change Detection and Indices (ETCCDI), which developed 27 representative extreme temperature and precipitation indices to provide a unified framework for global studies of extreme climate events. In this study, the NEX-GDDP-CMIP6 data were used to calculate 27 extreme climate indices.
