资源简介:
To study the interactions between Salmonella and the bacteriophages that use it as a host, global gene expression profiling based on the transcriptome analysis was performed. For this purpose, total RNA from Salmonella LT2 was extracted during the middle-infection stage and late-infection stage caused by the phage, and subjected to transcriptome sequencing to observe how the expression of the entire gene set changes. The bacteriophages used in this study were the temperate phage SPC32H and its counterpart mutant, the virulent phage SPC32N. This allowed simultaneous verification of whether differences in gene expression occur based on the presence or absence of the phage's lytic/lysogenic switch. Through this research, we aimed to identify factors that significantly influence phage infection, especially from the perspective of phage resistance emergence, and sought to discern differences in patterns between the temperate and virulent phages.
