资源简介:
Shiga toxin-producing Escherichia coli (STEC) are frequently associated with severe human diseases worldwide. Extended-Spectrum Beta-Lactamases (ESBLs), which are enzymes conferring resistance to broad-spectrum cephalosporins in Enterobacteriaceae were recently found to be produced by STEC. Until now only 5 serotypes (O157, O104:H4, O111:H8, O26:H11 and O25b:H4-ST131) were associated with ESBL. To better understand the genetic relationship between these clones, we sequenced 2 STEC encoding ESBL (O111:H8 and a new O151:H16).
