Ring and Ride Data Report on a local demand responsive transport Accessible transport for older and disabled groups

There is an accessible,, DRT service for West Midlands residents who have permanent or temporary mobility impairments. On Friday 22 March 2019, following insolvency, Accessible Transport Group (ATG) who had operated Ring and Ride on behalf of TfWM went into administration, and then from August 2019 Ring and Ride has been operated by National Express Accessible Transport (NEAT), part of the National Express group.

The change to operator allowed TfWM room to consider a revision to the methodology of the annual customer satisfaction survey to provide a more robust sample of users. Two separate surveys were conducted, a regular Ring and Ride user survey amongst those who had used the service in last 6 months and a non/lapsed user survey amongst those who hadn’t travelled in over 6 months or who had registered but never travelled. Using the Ring and Ride customer database, a postal survey of a sample of these different user groups was conducted in February 2020.

There are two reports with one focusing on the outcomes of the non/lapsed user survey with user survey available in the Ring and Ride Section and one concerning those lapsed customers who no longer use the service.
