Observations are proposed for two radio galaxies with mediumradio fluxes, 3C 98 and 3C 386. A 30 ks exposure onto eachwill enable detections of diffuse inverseCompton Xrays from their radio lobes. This will yield accurate estimates of the lobemagnetic field strength and the relativisitic electron energy density.
