Human microbiome contains billions of microorganisms thatplay important roles in the biological system and different diseases. Due to itscomplexity, conventional culture-independent technology may underestimatethe value of low-abundance bacteria, which calls for a highly efficient methodfor its enrichment and comprehensive analysis. In this study, we developed arecycling free-flow isoelectric focusing (RFFIEF) method-based electrophoresismethod to separate human salivary microbiome.
