Genome assembly and annotation of Bouteloua curtipendula (Poaceae)

This dataset contains the PacBio HiFi draft genome assembly and annotation of Bouteloua curtipendula (sideoats grama), an ecologically dominant perennial grass in the PACMAD clade. The assembly was generated with hifiasm and annotated with Helixer for structural gene prediction. The assembly spans ~653 Mb with an N50 of 25.5 Mb and 99.1% BUSCO completeness.Files include the genome assembly (FASTA), gene annotations (GFF3), coding sequence FASTA, and peptide FASTA files. These resources provide one of the first high-quality genomic references for B. curtipendula, supporting comparative studies of adaptation, polyploidy, and genome evolution in Poaceae.
