Experimental time histories of methane, acetylene, ethylene, and particle extinction during CH4 pyrolysis in shock tubes (2026)

This dataset contains time-resolved experimental laser absorption and light extinction measurements investigating high-temperature methane pyrolysis and carbon nanoparticle formation in shock tubes. The repository includes consolidated gas and particle time-history profiles measured across a range of reflected shock temperatures (1875 K – 2453 K) at pressures near 4.5 atm.
