NRS-16824 | Contracts and Tenders [North Coast Water]

This series consists of two contracts for the construction of assets for the Yamba Town water supply that are now defunct. The Lower Clarence County Council was responsible for water supply for the County District that initially included the Municipalities of Maclean and Ulmarra and the Shires of Orara and Harwood. The first contract is dated 27 January 1955 and was for the supply, delivery and installation of the chlorination plant for the Yamba Town water supply. Documents include a Memorandum of Agreement between the Lower Clarence County Council and Filtration & Water Softening Pty Ltd; a list of tenders and quotes from Filtration & Water Softening Pty Ltd; a lump sum tender form; schedule of prices; supporting documentation including a picture, specifications and general description of a chlorine pump; and specification of work for the supply, delivery and installation of both an automatic proportioning chlorination plant and for a chemical dry feeder.The second contract is dated 14 November 1956 and was for the construction of a concrete service reservoir for the Yamba Water Supply. Documents include a Memorandum of Agreement between the Lower Clarence County Council and Boulder Pty Ltd for construction work, letter to the Manager of Boulder Pty Ltd from the Council’s Clerk, a lump sum tender form, and a schedule of prices for work to be undertaken.
