Transcriptional responses to iron stresses in tea plant

Iron is an essential micronutrient for plants. Plants tightly regulate iron homeostasis to maintain a balance between the demand for growth and the risk of overaccumulation that could lead to cellular damage. Tea is mainly cultivated on acidic soils, where bioavailable iron excess commonly occur due to the biochemical characteristics of the element. Therefore, we attempted to explore the transcriptomal responses to different iron conditions in tea plant.
