Soil fungal community survey in karst rocky desertification (KRD) regions in Chongqing, China.

A total of ten soil samples were sequenced for soil fungal community survey in karst rocky desertification (KRD) regions in Chongqing, China. Soil samples were collected to represent soil fungal communities in different progressive stages of KRD from different soil horizons. Four soil horizon samples; namely organic (O), surface (A), subsoil (B) and substratum (C), were collected in non KRD areas. Soil O- and A horizons were collected in latent KRD, moderate KRD and severe KRD. A comparative analysis is conducted.
