We wanted to identify the transcriptional changes that occur in FGF15/19-expressing cells with obesity. We used RNASeq to determine the transcriptional effect of obesogenic state/diet specifically in ileal FGF15-expressing cells using FGF15iCreERTM2 mice crossed to the L10eGFP reporter. These mice were fed either standard chow or 60% high fat diet (HFD, Research Diets) for 3-4 months (Figure 1E). KEGG pathway analysis of the results identified the top pathways differenciated in FGF15-expressing cells between chow-fed and HFD-fed mice including protein processing, fructose and mannose metabolism and glycolysis/gluconeogenesis (Figure 1F).
