Solar Powered Oxygen Delivery: An Open-label Non-inferiority Comparison to Standard Oxygen Delivery Using Oxygen Cylinders

This is a randomized controlled trial to test the hypothesis that solar-powered oxygen delivery is noninferior to standard methods (oxygen from cylinders) for the supportive care of children with hypoxemia and respiratory distress. Demonstrating the utility of this technological innovation will represent an important step toward scale-up and implementation of reliable oxygen delivery in remote and resource-limited hospitals.
