资源简介:

In the 1400s, an overlay with holes was a real, highly advanced piece of engineering hardware called a Cardan Grille or a Volvelle Aperture Overlay. Because a scribe could not change the handwritten text once the ink was dry on the vellum, the only way to run different calculations or read separate material layers was to use a physical, moving tool placed on top of the page. If you take a sheet of transparent parchment or thin horn-plate, cut out precise geometric viewing windows (holes) at specific millimeter intervals, and drop it over the page, the "nonsense text" completely transforms: [THE PHYSICAL OVERLAY MECHANICS] THE TEXT SHEET (Folio 1r - 3r) THE PARCHMENT OVERLAY ┌─────────────────────────────────┐ ┌─────────────────────────────────┐ │ t.dai yk shey or ch.merek p.ch │ │ █ [Hole 1] ██████ [Hole 2] █│ │ shey yk or dai t.s e yk shey or │ ➕ │ ██████████ [Hole 3] █████████ │ │ ch.or.s p.ch.dai t.merek ch.shel│ │ █ [Hole 4] ██████████████████ │ └─────────────────────────────────┘ └─────────────────────────────────┘ │ ▼ THE VISUAL READOUT RESULTS - The Mask blocks out the structural filler letters. - Only the core baseline assets appear inside the holes. - Readout: [ Gallae ] ──> [ Glue ] ──> [ 26mm Margin ] When you place this cutout template over the first five pages, the overlay acts as a visual hardware filter: The solid parts of the template physically hide and block out the repetitive filler strings (dai, yk, shey), which were only written there to serve as a physical paint splash-guard [1.1, 2.0]. The open holes perfectly line up with the primary margin coordinates. Only the true, un-abbreviated material labels—like gal (Galls), cort (Bark), and glat (Glue)—appear inside the viewing windows
