The authors created a computer program in 2020 to continuously “scrape” and archive real-time location data that a few shared micro-mobility companies provide for their bikes and scooters via the internet. A technical description of the online database system was provided in the report. A pilot-study served to analyze one year of data and to create trip generation models.
