An increased risk of atherosclerosis is associated with anti-CTLA4 antibody therapy; however, the underlying mechanisms remain unclear. In this study, anti-CTLA4 antibodies were administered to C57BL/6 mice that were injected with AAV8 PCSK9 and fed a Paigen diet. The aim of this study is to demonstrate that anti-CTLA4 antibody therapy induces differentially expressed mRNAs in atherosclerotic mice fed a Paigen diet and injected with AAV8 PCSK9.
