The bacteria inoculum was obtained from secondary treatment reactor in Essex Junction Wastewater treatment plant. It was cultured and stabilized in the lab-scale nitrification bioreactor for 3 months. The samples include both biofilm bacteria and bacteria from aqueous solution during the filtration.
