WGS of Mycobacterium tuberculosis clinical isolates from Baja California, Mexico

We conducted the whole-genome sequencing of 28 clinical isolates of M. tuberculosis from Baja California, Mexico. These samples were collected over a 12-year period. Some of the samples were subjected to drug-sensitivity testing against the five first-line antibiotics (isoniazid, rifampicin, ethambutol, streptomycin and pyrazinamide). In addition to these newly sequenced samples, we incorporated whole genome sequences of M. tuberculosis from previously reported studies conducted in Mexico to characterize the transmission groups within different states of the country.
