资源简介:
This dataset contains CTD temperature, salinity, fluorescence (microgram/liter) and other measurements, including Zooplankton species number per sample collected by the twin NORPAC net (meshsize: 0.1mm and 0.335mm). This data submission is part of an ongoing program to study on spawning ecology of skipjack, yellowfin and bigeye tuna in the subtropical and tropical North Pacific Ocean. Skipjack and other tropical tuna (yellowfin and bigeye tuna) has been one of the most important fishery resources in the WCPFC area. The objectives of this research are (1) to describe spatial distributions of juvenile skipjack and tropical tunas (yellowfin and bigeye tuna) and (2) to understand spawning ecology of these species. It is necessary to perform biological sampling and hydrographic observation in the North Equatorial Current and the adjacent waters including the EEZ of the Northern Mariana and the Republic of Palau. This dataset is U.S. State Department MSR U2015-015 as part of the World Data Service for Oceanography. Data are in CSV.
