Assembling of truncated deterministic aperiodic lattices with defects using Weber beams - Control and manipulation of light in complex photonic systems (CompsLight)

Experimental and numerical data from the journal paper published in Optical Materials 157(2), 116334, 2024 (https://doi.org/10.1016/j.optmat.2024.116334). We introduce an experimental approach to realize truncated 2D deterministic aperiodic photonic structures using the interference of two mutually coherent Weber beams. The optical induction process for generating refractive index modulations in SBN crystal is controlled via various combinations of parabolic beams, with different offsets in both transverse dimensions, orientations, and relative phases, to obtain meta-structures.
