These are registers of the admissions of mothers and the births of their babies at Bankstown-Lidcombe Hospital.There are some variations in layout, particularly in the early volumes, but the information recorded is fairly consistent. It includes: mother's medical record number (MRN); mother's name; admission date and time; doctor(s); baby's MRN; date and time of birth; sex, and ward.Some records are duplicated between volumes. As a result, there are start and end date overlaps in the item lists.
