Amplicon sequencing of ASFV isolate Shandong2021

In early 2021, an outbreak of ASF occurred on a farm in Shandong, China. The goal is to study this isolate and verify the feasibility of the ONT sequencing workflow. We incorporate PCR amplification with custom-designed primers to overcome the limitations posed by the low amount of template DNA. Two sets of primers were designed with amplification product lengths of 20kb and 5kb. The samples were subjected to PCR amplification using the two primer sets, respectively.
