Repetitive elements engage Rig-I and Mda5 in interplay with Lgp2 to enhance hematopoietic stem cell emergence

In this study we examine the role of RIG-I-like receptors (RLRs) in hematopoietic stem and progenitor cell formation. We have performed extensive expression analysis and chromatin accessibility assays on endothelial and hemogenic endothelial cells in knockdown animals for all the RLR receptors. Additionally we did expression analysis on animals with knockdown of two receptors. Finally we examined the upregulation of repetitive elements in hemogenic endothelial cells after treatment with valproic acid (VPA) or decitabine.
