资源简介:

In this upload we provide the input files/data associated with the paper "Counter-streaming heat-flux closure for electron-only collisionless magnetic reconnection" by McGrae-Menge et al., 2026. "input_PIC.2d" is the OSIRIS (https://osiris-code.github.io) particle-in-cell (PIC) input deck used to create the (beta_Reconn.=0.1, B_Guide/B_Reconn.=0.1) electron-only collisionless magnetic reconnection data set used for the bulk of the first-principles analysis. The physical initialization of the simulation is described in Appendix A: PIC simulation setup. The data from this PIC simulation is located in "BgBr0point1-Beta0point1_PIC.zip". Since the total diagnostics are ~1.6TB we only include the moment diagnostics from t=0,300w_pe^{-1} (and raw particle data from t=300w_pe^{-1} used in Fig. 1) although the entire dataset can be created by running the attached input deck. UDIST diagnostics are defined as vfl_i=(1/n)\int dv^3 f v_i, and v_i v_j = \int dv^3 f v_i v_j. The parameter scan data used to create Fig. 4 is created by running the attached input deck but simply with altered B_Guide, u_th values to change B_Guide/B_{Reconn.} and beta_{Reconn.} respectively. "input_1-e-Fluid.lua" and "input_2-e-Fluid.lua" are the Gkeyll (https://gkeyll.readthedocs.io/en/latest/index.html) 10-moment 1-electron-fluid & 2-electron-fluid input decks respectively used to create the (beta_Reconn.=0.1, B_Guide/B_Reconn.=0.1) electron-only collisionless magnetic reconnection fluid simulation data sets. The physical initializations of the simulations are described in Appendix C: Fluid simulation setup. We have attached the moment diagnostics from t=0,300w_pe^{-1}, located in files "BgBr0point1-Beta0point1_1-e-Fluid.zip" and "BgBr0point1-Beta0point1_2-e-Fluid.zip". Again, the full outputs can be created by running the attached input decks. We note that both simulation tools Osiris & Gkeyll are open source codes. With any questions on how to interpret the input files/simulation data please email madoxmm@physics.ucla.edu.
