The effect of heat stress on the gut microbiota in mice

To investigate the impact of heat stress (HS) on the gut microbiota of mice, mice were placed in the climate chamber maintained at 39oC and a relative humidity of 65% for 1.5 h. Then, intestinal contents samples were collected and subjected to 16S rRNA gene sequencing analysis. Moreover, the gut microbiota was also analyzed in the intestinal contents of HS mice after treatment with an arginine-enriched oral inulin hydrogel.
