资源简介:
Temporal variations of the spectro-polarimetric nature of pulsars is remained unexplored. Such investigations can offer significant potential for uncovering key insights into pulsar emission mechanisms, magnetic field geometry, and propagation effects within the magnetosphere. In this proposal, we request to observe the binary system, J2144-5237 in a binary system using the Parkes telescope. From previous Parkes observations archival data of this system, we found evidence of spectral changes with time (orbital phase) and Gigahertz Peaked Spectra (GPS). Additionally, we observe highly correlated spectral properties between the Stokes properties with orbital phase for this MSP. With this proposal we want to increase the orbital phase sampling, in order to study the following properties:\n 1. Change of spectral nature (including temporal changes) with orbital phase\n 2. Rotation measure variations with orbital phase\n 3. Correlation between Stokes parameters with orbital phase\n To our knowledge, this is the first investigation of time-varying properties of the spectro-polarimetric nature of any pulsars or MSPs. To further study, we request for 50 hrs of observation time with Parkes UWL receiver, with an orbital period of 10 days, this will allow us to cover ~0.2 of the orbital phase.
