To investigate tendon-muscle interaction during embryonic development, we took tendon cell ablation approach and generated ScxCre-L Tg mouse (Sugimoto et al., 2013) with a Rosa26-LSL-DTA mouse (Voehringer et al., 2008). Skeletal muscle patterning of ScxCre;Rosa26-DTA embryo was significantly altered from control embryo, indicated that Scx-lineage cells have important roll in muscle patterning. To gain further insight in molecular mechanism for this tissue-tissue interaction, we performed a RNAseq analysis using E13.5 limb samples.
